What was once a confined and underutilized space has been reimagined into a warm and inviting heart of the home, blending function with timeless Southern charm.
Opening Up the Space
The transformation began with the removal of a wall that once separated the kitchen from the dining room. This strategic change paved the way for a seamless, airy flow between the spaces. The dining room was relocated to the previous living room, which had rarely been used. This shift allowed for a much larger, more open living area where the kitchen now takes center stage, effortlessly connecting to the expanded living room. The result is a bright and welcoming space perfect for both everyday living and entertaining.

The Showstopper Peninsula
At the heart of this beautifully redesigned kitchen is a spacious peninsula, featuring an undermount sink, a Hansgrohe faucet with a MagFit pull-down spout, and a built-in dishwasher. This centerpiece also serves as an inviting gathering spot, with bar seating for four to five guests, making it ideal for casual meals or catching up over coffee.

The stainless-steel appliances, including a range with a sleek hood, are set against a striking 3”x12” Grunge Collection Blue Ceramic Wall Tile backsplash. The industrial weathered look of the tile adds a rustic charm, while its smooth finish ensures easy maintenance. The countertops, crafted from Dekton Trilium and Borghetto Faccia Naturale, provide a sophisticated yet durable surface. This carbon-neutral, ultracompact porcelain material is highly resistant to scratches, water, impact, and extreme temperatures, requiring nothing more than soap and water for upkeep.

Another standout feature is the custom dry bar, designed with sophistication and practicality in mind. Glass-front doors illuminated by LED interior lighting, create an elegant showcase for glassware and spirits. Under-cabinet lighting enhances the workspace, providing both ambiance and functionality. The matte black hardware adds a touch of modern contrast while ensuring lifelong durability.
Spacious & Clean
The remodel extended beyond the kitchen, with refinished hardwood floors stretching throughout the entire first floor, seamlessly tying the spaces together. Fresh paint throughout the home brought a crisp, updated feel, complementing the new design elements.
